Intoxication Manslaughter Crash - Report #2021-01260052

The Arlington Police Department responded to a major crash in the 4900 block of Matlock Road on Thursday, May 6, 2021 at 2:52 a.m.

A passenger vehicle was traveling northbound on Matlock Road. The vehicle crossed over the median and struck a light pole. The vehicle continued driving northbound in the southbound lanes of Matlock, striking another passenger vehicle that was traveling southbound head-on.

The initial vehicle that caused the crash was occupied by a male driver, a female passenger, and an infant child.

The other passenger vehicle was occupied by two people who were seriously injured and transported to a local hospital for treatment.

The male driver of the car traveling the wrong way was identified as 21-year old Bronson Kibler. The adult female passenger in his car was pronounced deceased at the scene. The infant was unharmed and released to relatives.

Kibler also suffered serious injuries and remains at a local hospital for treatment. Kibler is under arrest for one count of Intoxication Manslaughter and two charges of Intoxication Assault.

The Tarrant County Medical Examiner’s Office will identify the deceased once next of kin have been identified.
