Tree limbs can be placed on the curb for pickup by Republic Services if they are cut down to four-foot lengths, bundled and stacked with the large end towards the curb. Branches must be no more than six inches in diameter and bundles may not exceed 50 lbs. Brush is collected at approximately one cubic yard per collection date.

Oncor crews, working to restore power outages as quickly as they can, are out in Arlington neighborhoods today removing trees and tree limbs that have fallen onto power lines.

Oncor is not responsible for hauling away trees or limbs that have fallen onto private property because of storms, such as this week’s ice storm. It will be the property owner’s responsibility to dispose of the fallen tree or limbs. Click here to see Oncor’s FAQs about tree trimming.

As a reminder, tree limbs can be placed on the curb for pickup by Republic Services if they are cut down to four-foot lengths, bundled and stacked with the large end towards the curb. Branches must be no more than six inches in diameter and bundles may not exceed 50 lbs. Brush is collected at approximately one cubic yard per collection date.

Please note, Republic Services does not anticipate being able to begin collecting bundles of brush until Thursday, Feb. 9 at the earliest as crews anticipate a spike in trash volume following days of postponed service during the winter ice storm.

For larger unbundled brush piles, residents can use any tree removal company. Republic Services also offers collection for large, unbundled brush piles at an hourly rate. For more information, call Republic Services at 817-317-2000.

To report a tree or limb on a power line, contact Oncor at 888-313-4747.
