Homicide Investigation - Report #2021-02060253

On Sunday, July 25, 2021 at 12:15 p.m., officers responded to a shooting call in the 2200 block of Greenway Street.

Officers located a crime scene near a local park. Officers were notified that a Hispanic male in his early 20s was dropped off by a private vehicle at a local hospital due to a gunshot wound. The man was later pronounced deceased at the hospital.

While the investigation is in its early stages, detectives believe the victim agreed to meet with an unknown suspect to engage in a fight at the local park. Investigators believe as the victim arrived, the suspect, a Hispanic male is his early 20s, emerged from a car and began shooting several times, striking the victim.

The suspect remains at large at this time. Detectives have canvassed the neighborhood to seek out any video and/or witnesses.

The Tarrant County Medical Examiner’s Office will identify the deceased once next of kin have been notified.
