The Arlington Police Department responded to a major crash involving two vehicles in the westbound lanes in the 7100 block of West I-20 at 8:16 p.m. on Thursday, July 16, 2020.
The first vehicle was occupied by two individuals with the second vehicle having a lone occupant. The first vehicle lost control and ended up striking a concrete median.
The driver of the first vehicle was pronounced deceased at the scene, and the passenger was taken to a local hospital with what appears to be non-life-threatening injuries. The driver of the second vehicle involved was not seriously injured.
Accident Investigators are on scene and this crash remains under investigation. The Tarrant County Medical Examiner's Office will identify the deceased once next of kin have been notified.
