On Friday April 10, 2020, at approximately 4:40 p.m., the Arlington Police Department responded to a major crash involving a motorcycle and a pickup truck in the 1900 block of S. Cooper Street. Investigators believe the motorcycle driver was traveling northbound on Cooper St. at a high rate of speed, when he struck a white Ford F-250 that was turning left from the southbound lanes of Cooper St. onto Inwood Drive.
The motorcycle driver, an 18-year-old male, was transported by ambulance to a local hospital, where he was later pronounced deceased.
The driver of the pickup truck, who was the only occupant of the vehicle, was not injured.
Investigators are currently reviewing surveillance footage from a nearby business that captured the crash.
The Tarrant County Medical Examiner’s Office will identify the deceased once next of kin have been notified.
