This month, America marks 100 years since the 19th Amendment gave women the right to vote. And while there is still work to be done, it is also an excellent time to reflect on how far we've come.

The League of Women Voters: Tarrant County partnered with Arlington's Fielder House Museum to showcase Texas' role in the suffrage movement.

"Texas actually was one of the first states to ratify the 19th Amendment," said League of Women Voters President Peggy Hendon.

The new exhibit showcases that rich history and the women who made it possible.

"They put together a great history of the struggle for women's rights to vote," said Fielder House Museum Director Geraldine Mills. "If you haven't seen it or you don't know about it, this is a great place to learn."

Fielder House Museum is open Wednesday from 2-5 p.m., Thursday and Friday from 2-7 p.m. and Saturday from 2-6 p.m. Admission is $3 for visitors 12 and older.
