Coworking spaces have exploded in popularity in recent years, giving people a work area to call their own. The trend has met a growing need for everyone from authors to entrepreneurs. But a new Downtown Arlington business is expanding on the concept.

Create Arlington is a coworking space for members of the art community.

"It's set up specifically for those who are in creative trades. Those who are artists, graphic designers, people who need to spill paint sometimes with what they do," said Create Arlington co-owner Mark Joeckel.

A variety of artists are already working from the space and say the benefits extend beyond just a new studio.

"This is a great opportunity for me to get out of the house and have not only the studio space but the opportunity to show my work in a local setting, where all my friends and fans can come see me, in one central location" said artist Keisha Smith.

Create Arlington is located at 306 W. Main Street. Click here to learn more and apply for a membership.
