Catalyst Creative Arts, in Downtown Arlington, is giving people a space to tap into their creativity.

From leather work to watercolors, the studio offers about 15 different media and techniques, all with a goal of helping customers discover their inner artist.

"We believe everyone has that inside them," said Catalyst co-owner Helen Yoon.

The studio doubles as an event space, and lessons are often turned into parties. One popular session is water marbling. The technique lets you paint on the surface of water. A piece of fabric is then placed on top, taking on the design.

To celebrate LGBTQ Pride Month, Catalyst customers have been using the technique to create rainbow scarves.

"We love it because we really believe in diversity and inclusion," Yoon said.

If you're looking to learn a new skill, or just express your creativity, Catalyst Creative Arts has an outlet for you. The business is located at 400 E. Division Street, Suite 100 in Downtown Arlington.
