COVID-19 Vaccine Update

Tarrant County residents are invited to a pop-up vaccination clinic scheduled from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. Friday, June 11, 2021, at the East Library and Recreation Center, 1817 New York Ave, Arlington, Texas, 76010.

This pop-up is a collaborative project between the City of Arlington’s Fire Department and Library Department and American Medical Response. All three FDA-approved vaccines will be available at the clinic. Minors will need a parent or guardian to accompany them. No prior appointment is required.

“We don’t require any pre-registration, insurance, or proof of status, all we want is to get shots in people’s arms,” Fire Lt. Richard Fegan said. “Everyone is welcome, we want to serve our community and do everything possible to simplify the vaccination process.”

Fire Department staff will be stationed in the library's community classroom. Attendees will be required to fill out forms when they arrive. They are encouraged to bring their mobile device to register but Fire Department staff will be available to assist. Bilingual staff will also be available.

All FDA-approved vaccines will be available. Second shots will also be available for those that received Pfizer or Moderna prior but missed their follow-up appointment.

  • Pfizer is available for everyone over the age of 12, a second appointment will be scheduled onsite
  • Moderna is available for everyone over the age of 18, a second appointment will be scheduled onsite
  • Johnson & Johnson is available for everyone over the age of 18, this vaccine only requires one shot

The vaccination process is estimated to only take between 30 to 45 minutes and is on a first-come, first-served basis. The process timeframe includes a 15-minute observation period. Seating will be available in the library courtyard. In the event of inclement weather, seating will be available inside the library.
