2023 College Baseball Showdown

The 2023 College Baseball Showdown is coming back to the Home of the Texas Rangers Feb. 17-19, 2023. The three-day tournament features six college baseball programs from the SEC and Big 12 Conference.

The kickoff to college baseball season features matchups between the Southeastern Conference and Big 12 Conference powerhouses. Big 12 Conference members TCU, University of Texas and Oklahoma State University will face Arkansas, Vanderbilt and Missouri from the Southeastern Conference to kick off the college baseball season at Globe Life Field.

Five-of-the-six programs in the 2023 lineup advanced to the postseason in 2022, with University of Texas and Arkansas both advancing to the College World Series.

2023 will mark the third year of the College Baseball Showdown at Globe Life Field. The Inaugural tournament in 2021 was one of the highest attended college baseball tournaments in the NCAA. In addition, 32 players from the 2022 College Baseball Showdown were drafted in the 2022 MLB draft.

“For the third year the college baseball season is kicking off at Globe Life Field with six of the top programs in the country, adding to the rich slate of competitive college games to take place at Globe Life Field. We look forward to seeing college baseball fans back in Arlington next February,” said Sean Decker, President of REV Entertainment.

Globe Life Field has been home to 49 college baseball games since 2021. Four of the six programs have appeared at Globe Life Field over the last two years, University of Texas (5-6), TCU (5-4), Oklahoma State (5-2), and Arkansas (3-0). This marks the first appearance at Globe Life Field for both Missouri and Vanderbilt.

In addition, UT (47-22 in 2022), TCU (38-22 in 2022) and Arkansas (46-21 in 2022) participated in the inaugural showdown in 2021. This is the first College Baseball Showdown appearance for Oklahoma State University (44-22 in 2022), Missouri (28-23 in 2022), and Vanderbilt (39-23 in 2022).

All games of the 2023 College Baseball Showdown will once again be streamed live by FloSports, the exclusive broadcast partner for the tournament. Tickets for the 2023 College Baseball Showdown will go on sale later this year with full details to be announced. For more information visit GlobeLifeField.com/Showdown
