Celebrate Spring With These Naturally Fun Events From Arlington Parks & Recreation

Spring is in full swing and Arlington Parks & Recreation has a month filled with fun activities for a variety of ages and interests! Mark your calendar for these upcoming April events.

My Little Gentleman Etiquette Class – Saturday, April 9

The popular etiquette class for boys ages 5-12 is back! Participants will learn good manners, etiquette, and how to get themselves ready for any formal occasion. This class is located at Cliff Nelson Recreation Center and will take place on Saturday, April 9, starting at 9:00 AM. Dress in your Sunday's Best and come learn something new at this one-of-a-kind event! Click here to register!

EGGstravaganza Tot Party – Friday, April 15

Come join us at Dottie Lynn Recreation Center for a festive event filled with egg hunts, fun crafts, and other themed activities from 10 AM – 12 PM! This come-and-go event is designated for children 5 & under, and we ask that all participants are escorted by a guardian 18 years or older. Click here to register! 

Arlington Bass Classic – Saturday, April 16

Arlington Parks and Recreation will host the 8th Annual Arlington Bass Classic on April 16, kicking off the tournament at 7 AM with a brief meeting beforehand. Show off your angling skills and compete for cash prizes as we spend the day fishing on beautiful Lake Arlington! All participants must have a current Lake Arlington boating permit and a valid Texas state fishing license. Boats will launch from Richard Simpson Park. Click here to register!

Outdoor Adventure Day – Monday, April 18

Teens, join us for a day out adventure to a local state park! We will get to spend our day hiking and exploring nature on this day off from school. We will travel to a state park around our area, stop for lunch, and then return back to East Library and Recreation Center for pick-up. The fun starts at 9 AM and lasts all day! Senior Prom ’22 – Friday, April 22

Seniors, get ready for Senior Prom at East Library and Recreation Center on Friday, April 22 at 4 PM! Join us for dancing, refreshments, photo booth fun, and a trip down memory lane. This free event is for ages 50+, and both singles and couples are welcome. Best dressed could have a chance of being crowned prom king and queen!
