Cardboard Boat Regatta

Statement from River Legacy Foundation:

Dear Friends of River Legacy,

In an effort to protect our students, guests, donors and sponsors, River Legacy Foundation is cancelling some of our most beloved events.

For the first time in 31 years our fundraiser
River Legacy Cardboard Boat Regatta will not take place this year.

We have also canceled our April 4th Earth Day celebration at River Legacy Living Science Center.

In an attempt to slow the spread of COVID-19, and in partnership with public health officials, the many school districts and businesses that participate, these events have been canceled.

To our registrants we deeply appreciate your patience. To our sponsors and volunteers, we deeply appreciate your support. Thank you Six Flags Hurricane Harbor for being a champion for education in our community.

River Legacy Foundation is very disappointed to share this news with you. We do not feel that this is a time to panic but it is time for responsible action. Please check www.riverlegacy.org and our Facebook page for updates.

Currently, River Legacy Living Science Center will remain open to the public Monday through Saturday 9am – 5pm.

Sincerely,

Jill Hill
Executive Director
