Arlington Public Library's Woodland West Branch is open again after $395,000 in renovations.

The upgrades include a 600-square foot addition, new rooftop HVAC units and more accessible entryways and restrooms.

The renovations were included in the voter-approved November 2014 bond package.

The Woodland West Branch is one of Arlington Public Library's smaller branches but also one of its busiest.

Between the branch reopening in February and June 30:

  • 99,046 physical items were checked out
  • 37,462 visitors used the library
  • 1,182 attended 94 library programs
  • 4,561 initiated computer sessions

Woodland West Branch is located at 2837 W Park Row Drive.

In November 2014, Arlington voters approved a five-year, $236 million dollar bond package. Projects included in the package focus on street improvements, Parks & Recreation, Fire Department facilities and City Libraries.

The City offers residents an interactive Bond Tracker website, filtered map, updated stories and videos on construction projects, and complete list of the Capital Budget Planning and Project Sequencing for the 2014 Bond Program here.

Each project will be updated on the website and the City will post stories, videos and pictures of the progress of those projects.
