Arlington Tomorrow Foundation Awards Nearly $2.3 Million in 2018

The Arlington Tomorrow Foundation contributed nearly $2.3 million through 25 grants last year to enhance city services and support a variety of charitable causes across The American Dream City.

The grants, both large and small, included a $1 million gift toward the Green Oak School's future life prep academy for students with intellectual disabilities and an $82,000 contribution for webcam in Texas Health Arlington Memorial Hospital's Neonatal Intensive Care Unit that allow families to see and talk to their newborns when they can't be at the hospital. Other projects supported included those that aim to increase access to healthcare, food and affordable housing, provide school supplies, bicycles and safe after-school activities for youth, and enhance the city's cultural and recreational opportunities.

Since its inception in May 2007, the foundation has awarded almost 400 grants totaling nearly $21 million to local charities and City Departments who work each day to make The American Dream City vibrant and strong through educational and recreational opportunities, arts and culture, and social services.
