With the weather warming up and the school year winding down, we’ve got fun activities planned for all ages! Mark your calendar for these upcoming May events with Arlington Parks and Recreation.

Farewell to Eunice & Cinco De Mayo Potluck – Wednesday, May 3

Come say farewell to the Eunice Activity Center on Wednesday, May 3 from 11 AM – 1 PM at the Bob Duncan Center. We’ll recall all the good times and celebrate the lasting friendships made at Eunice. This free Cinco de Mayo celebration and farewell event will include entertainment and a taco bar. Participants are asked to sign up to bring a topping item for the taco bar. Meadowbrook Park Master Plan Public Meeting – Thursday, May 11

Help us re-imagine Meadowbrook Park! The City of Arlington is developing a Master Plan for Meadowbrook Park, Arlington’s first park that opened in 1924. In advance of the centennial celebration in 2024, Arlington Parks and Recreation has contracted with Kimley-Horn and Associates in the preparation of the master plan, and we are excited to receive your feedback on potential park amenities. Residents are invited to provide input at the final Meadowbrook Park Master Plan public meeting on May 11 from 6-7:30 PM at Meadowbrook Recreation Center.

Ventana Grille Mother’s Day Brunch – Sunday, May 14

Awesome moms deserve an awesome brunch! Ventana Grille will host a special Mother’s Day Brunch on Sunday, May 14 from 10:30 AM – 3 PM. The buffet cost is $50 per adult and $25 per child ages 4-12. Children 3 and under eat free. Reservations are required, so please RSVP by calling 817-548-5047.

Day Camp Open House – Thursday, May 25

Summer campers and parents, join us for our Day Camp Open House at East Library and Recreation Center! We'll help fill out camp forms, mingle with our new counselors, and have bilingual staff onsite to answer any questions you may have. Get a glimpse of all the fun to come with snacks and games from 5–7:30 PM.

Lavender Ridge Farms Day Trip – Friday, May 26

Take part in a fun adult day trip to Lavender Ridge Farms in Gainesville, Texas! Our group will enjoy a private guided tour with their staff horticulturist including the iris and lavender fields, butterfly garden, and other animals. After the tours we will enjoy a homemade lunch in the Lavender Café. This day trip departs from Dottie Lynn Recreation Center at 9 AM.
