Spring is in the air, and Arlington Parks & Recreation has a month filled with fun activities for a variety of ages and interests! Mark your calendar for these upcoming April events.

The Great Eggscape – Thursday, April 6

Join us at Cliff Nelson Recreation Center on Thursday, April 6 as we work together to eggscape from locked doors! Will you make it out in time, or will you be locked behind Cliff Nelson’s doors forever? This escape-room style experience is for ages 18 and up.

Ennis Bluebonnets Day Trip – Saturday, April 8

Don’t miss out on this spring’s outstanding bluebonnet blooms! Join us on Saturday, April 8 as we drive to Ennis to enjoy the iconic Texas Bluebonnet Trail, and then head to the Bluebonnet Festival for a few hours to enjoy the vendors. We will depart from Elzie Odom Athletic Center at 9 AM.

EGGstravaganza Tot Party – Friday, April 14

Come join us at Dottie Lynn Recreation Center on Friday, April 14 for a festive event filled with egg hunts, fun crafts, and other themed activities for your little ones! This come-and-go event is designated for children ages 5 & under, and we ask that all participants are escorted by a guardian 18 years or older.

Fish Friends – Saturday, April 15

Join us at Cliff Nelson Recreation Center on Saturday, April 15 as we get outside and adventure to the pond! In this program we will spend time learning how to tie knots, bait a hook, and test our luck fishing out on the water. This is the perfect opportunity for kids who have yet to cast a line. This activity is $15 per participant, for ages 7-12.

Take Flight on Earth Day – Saturday, April 22

Join us at East Library and Recreation Center on Saturday, April 22 as we take flight on Earth Day! We will be spending a beautiful spring day outdoors as we make and fly our own kites at Bob Cooke Park. This event starts at 10 AM and the cost is $5 per participant.
