Arlington Charities at an event

Arlington Charities will hold its annual Help & Hope Celebrity Chef Showcase event on Thursday, April 21st at the Bob Duncan Event Center on 2800 S. Center Street. Proceeds will raise funds and awareness to help put food on the tables of families, children, and seniors facing food insecurity in our community.

Scott Murray, former anchor on the local NBC nightly news in DFW, will emcee. This is the 4th Help & Hope event that Arlington Charities has hosted and will feature cooking and tastings from local restaurants Prince Lebanese Grill, Hurtado BBQ, and Gold Ribbon Confections. Tony Rutigliano will be presenting the wine pairings.

This event comes as the need for food in Arlington is rising. “During the continuing Covid-19 pandemic, Arlington Charities has been assisting up to 150 families per day with supplemental groceries,” says Deborah Coppola, Executive Director of Arlington Charities. “That is more than triple our normal output”.

For ticket or sponsorship information call Penny Rowell at 817-275-1511 ext.114 or on the Arlington Charities website at arlingtoncharities.org/help-and-hope-2022.
