Advancing Racial Equity Podcast

The Arlington-Mansfield Area YMCA has been awarded a $10,000 grant from the Fund to Advance Racial Equity at North Texas Community to produce the Advancing Racial Equity Podcast -- a weekly podcast that will focus on Equity, Anti-racism, Unity and Community Engagement in the DFW community.

Led by Vice President of Community Engagement, Heidi Hardy, and CEO, Eric Tucker, the podcast will be a platform for open and healthy conversations to create unity and understanding within the community.

“The Y is made up of people of all ages and from every walk of life working side-by-side to strengthen our community. We are committed to ensuring that ALL people, regardless of ability, age, cultural background, ethnicity, faith, gender, gender identity, ideology, income, national origin, race or sexual orientation have the opportunity to reach their full potential with dignity.” says CEO, Eric Tucker.

Heidi Hardy adds, “The podcast gives us the ability to create a safe space for people from diverse perspectives and backgrounds to have important conversations that heal, build bridges of understanding and provide education on a platform that is growing in popularity. The content we will create will be a recording of the history of these times with the hope that years from now we can hear the good work we are doing today to help create a better tomorrow.”
