National-Fetch-Day

A special treat is in store for anyone who adopts a dog at Arlington Animal Services this Saturday, the 20th of October. The shelter is celebrating a new holiday established by Petmate and on this, the inaugural year of Chuckit! National Fetch Day, Petmate is providing every adopter of a shelter dog at Animal Services a toy for their new furry friend!

"National Fetch Day is a celebration of the human-animal bond, an opportunity to bring awareness to the importance of exercise for our pets, and how the game of fetch offers both," states Petmate's website.

This special act of kindness coincides with National Adopt a Shelter Dog month, while dog adoption fees are half price through the end of October 2018, and all urgent adoptable dogs are $25.

Adopt a new best friend to enjoy camaraderie and exercise to Make Fetch Happen on National Fetch Day! The shelter is located at 1000 S.E. Green Oaks Boulevard and open from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. on Saturdays.

Special thanks to Petmate for their kindness and generous donation!
