Students at the University of Texas at Arlington kicked off Homecoming Week on Monday at a "Paint Your Ride" spirit event, where their cars were decorated with cheers such as "Honk for Homecoming," Go UTA!" and "Maverick Pride."

"Paint Your Ride" is the first of many Homecoming Week events that aim to spread school spirit on the UTA campus and throughout The American Dream City.

UTA student Bralon Stegall was among the many Mavericks who stopped by the Arlington Hall parking lot Monday afternoon to have his car decorated in blue, orange and white school colors.

"I came to get my car painted to spread my Maverick Pride while I drive this week," Stegall said.
