The City of Arlington's Public Works and Transportation Department anticipates starting construction on the Greencove Drainage Improvements with Water and Sanitary Sewer Renewals Project next month.

A construction briefing meeting is scheduled from 5:30 p.m. to 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday, May 29 in the Council Briefing Room, located on the 3rd floor of City Hall, 101 W. Abram St. This will be an open house, come-and-go meeting. The purpose of this meeting is to provide information and answer questions residents may have concerning the proposed construction to mitigate residential flooding that has occurred in the Randol Mill Park Garden Homes subdivision.

This $1.9 million project, paid for by stormwater utility fees and bond funds, consists of replacing the existing storm drain system with a system that can contain a 100-year storm. In addition to the storm drain system improvements, the project will also include renewal of 1,650 linear feet of water mains and 1,300 linear feet of sanitary sewer mains, new street pavement, curbs, and gutters.

If you are unable to attend the meeting but would like additional information, please contact the Public Works and Transportation Department at [email protected], or call 817-459-6550.
