Leave your leftovers and brown bag lunches at home. The Arlington Parks and Recreation Department's fantastic Food Truck Fridays lunch series wraps up in Downtown Arlington.

This event will take place from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. Friday at Founders Plaza, 100 W. Abram St. The park is located next to the Levitt Pavilion, just south of City Hall, in the heart of Downtown Arlington.

This week's tentative list of food trucks includes Mardi Gras Cajun Cuisine, Flaming Grill Barbecue, The Butcher's Son and Texas Burrito Company. And don't forget dessert! Steel City Pops will also be on site.

Attendees are encouraged to bring lawn chairs and picnic blankets to the food truck events, as seating is limited.

Event Parking

Free parking is available throughout Downtown, including in the public lot west of City Hall, in the 101 Center Parking garage, along Front Street, and in the new reverse-angle parking spaces along Abram, Center and Mesquite streets.

Abram Street Rebuild

The Abram Street Rebuild in Downtown Arlington is under way. Drivers can stay up-to-date about temporary lane closures and other construction-related news for this transformative, bond-funded project by visiting www.ArlingtonTX.com/Abram.

Additionally, Arlington has partnered with Waze to give drivers the best experience possible to get around town. Food Truck Friday Dinner Series

Mark your calendars! Food Truck Dinners at River Legacy Parks in north Arlington will start on Friday, May 25. This dinner series will take place from 5 p.m. to 10 p.m. every Friday night at the park, 701 NW Green Oaks Blvd., from then until June 15.

Each Friday will feature a new lineup of food trucks, allowing visitors the opportunity to taste and try out different fare. The food truck line-ups will be announced the Wednesday before each event at www.naturallyfun.org/foodtruck.
