The Stormwater Engineering Operations division of Public Works and Transportation recently completed the first phase of the North Fork Cottonwood Creek Channel Repair project. This $1.4 million project completely reconstructed a failing channel that runs adjacent to the L'Atrium on the Creek complex between Park Row and Carter Drives in East Arlington.

While the main purpose of this project was to replace the existing concrete channel between Park Row Drive and with a modular wall channel with a concrete bottom, it also included the installation of a maintenance ramp, pedestrian fence, roadway improvements, and water and sanitary sewer renewals.

Phase II of the project, which is currently under design, will address the portion of the channel between Carter Drive and Sherry Street.
