1. Levitt Pavilion Arlington&'s 2018 Summer Concert Series - LAST WEEKEND

2018 will be a year of celebration for Levitt Pavilion Arlington as it begins its 10th year of free music. The concert season will be packed with some of the Levitt&'s most popular artists over the last nine years. Summer concerts continue through this Friday, July 22. Fall concerts are Aug. 31 through Oct. 21. Concert nights will be Friday, Saturday and Sunday. Summer concerts will begin at 8:30 p.m. For more information, please visit levittpavilionarlington.org. 2. George W. Hawkes Downtown Library

Bring the family out to enjoy the new George W. Hawkes Downtown Library this weekend, with multiple events planned for all ages! Children ages 0-5 years old are welcome to join the library staff for Creative Time at 9:30 a.m. on Friday, July 20. They will have a different fun craft or activity each week. Art Hour gets underway at 11 a.m. on Friday. Children ages 5-12 years old can join the Arlington Public Library for an hour of art. Families can also check out the Lego Batman Movie this Saturday at the Council Chambers and Community Room from 2-4 p.m. on Saturday, July 21. 3. Cut! Costume and Cinema at Arlington Museum of Art

The Cut! Costume and the Cinema exhibit runs through Sunday, August 12, allowing visitors to step onto the movie set with 43 costumes from 27 period films. Some highlights include Johnny Depp&'s costume from Pirates of the Caribbean, pieces from the Costume Academy Award winner, The Duchess, and Emmy Rossum&'s gown from The Phantom of the Opera. The Arlington Museum of Art is located at 201 W. Main St. in Downtown Arlington&'s growing cultural arts district.

4. Hurricane Harbor

It&'s time to break out the swimwear, slather on the sunscreen, and dust off your sunglasses for a fun-filled season at Hurricane Harbor! This summer season is sure to rock with plenty of activities for the entire family. Cool off with the kiddos at Hook&'s Lagoon with four mini slides, water sprayers and shallow water to splash around in. For the thrills seekers in the family, hop onto Tornado and travel down the 132 foot slide in the mouth of a gigantic funnel. Hurricane Harbor will be open from 10:30 a.m. to 7 p.m. on Thursday and 10:30 a.m. to 8 p.m. Friday through Sunday. Continuing this Friday through August 10, the water park will play your favorite films on a Texas-sized big screen over the iconic wave pool.

5. Six Flags Over Texas

Six Flags Over Texas, the Thrill Capital of Texas, continues its 57th season in The American Dream City. The park will open this weekend for guests to enjoy their favorite coasters and attractions, including the ultimate Super-Villain thrill ride-HARLEY QUINN Spinsanity, which opened last weekend. The park&'s operating hours are from 10:30 a.m. to 9 p.m. on Thursday and 10:30 a.m. to 10 p.m. Friday through Sunday. 6. City of Arlington&'s 3rd Annual Homeownership Fair at Arlington Convention Center

Thinking about buying a new home? Register now for the City of Arlington&'s 3rd annual Homeownership Fair to learn more about buying a home in today&'s real estate market, down payment assistance programs, credit repair and other topics. The Homeownership Fair is scheduled from 8:30 a.m. to 2 p.m. Saturday, July 21 at the Arlington Convention Center, 1200 Ballpark Way. This event will offer informational sessions on topics such as mortgage lending, foreclosure prevention, affordable housing programs, weatherization, energy savings, insurance, city home repair programs and more. 7. Theatre Arlington presents: Stellaluna (Youth Production)

Theatre Arlington presents the youth production of Stellaluna this weekend in Downtown, based on the children&'s novel by Janell Cannon. The show runs through Sunday, July 22. Stellaluna is appropriate for audiences aged 4 to 12. Please note: Theatre Arlington does not allow children under 3 years old into the theatre.

8. Live Music at Grease Monkey Burger Shop & Social Club

Head over to Grease Monkey Burger Shop & Social Club in Downtown Arlington for two nights of live music this weekend. On Friday night, Clayton Gardner will perform at 9 p.m. Clayton has had the privilege of sharing the stage with the likes of Pat Green, Jack Ingram, Kevin Fowler, Josh Abbott, Rodney Atkins, Aaron Watson, Stoney Larue, Brandon Rhyder, Casey Donahew, Rick Trevino and many others. On Saturday night, residents and visitors can check out Michael Padgett & Derek Larson. That show gets underway at 9 p.m. Grease Monkey is located at 200 N Mesquite St, Arlington, TX 76011.

9. Live Music at J.R. Bentley&'s

Sweet T Duo is set to perform this Friday, July 20, 2018 at J.R. Bentley&'s in Downtown Arlington. The show starts at 8 p.m. On Saturday, enjoy live music on the patio with 7th Row, 2nd Seat. That show also begins at 8 p.m. Situated in a historic home, J.R. Bentley&'s has the feel of an authentic English pub and features several local and area bands throughout the year. 10. Shows at UTA Planetarium

UTA Planetarium continues to offer shows to residents and visitors. This includes Spacepark 360: Infinity, a planetarium show designed to recreate the experience of amusement park thrill rides, roller coasters, pendulums, inverters and more.
