Levitt Pavilion Arlington’s 10th Anniversary Celebration Continues with Fan Favorites

Quebe Sisters will return to Levitt Pavilion Arlington this fall.

Levitt Pavilion Arlington&'s 10th anniversary concert season had a great start with its summer concerts, with an estimate of more than 85,000 people on its lawn for free music and movie nights. But they aren&'t finished yet!

The Levitt starts the second part of its birthday celebration on Aug. 31 with its official 10-year birthday bash featuring the band who played the very first concert on the Levitt stage a decade ago, Brave Combo. The party starts at 8 p.m.

Continuing its "greatest hits" theme for their birthday year, the Baylor Orthopedic & Spine Hospital 2018 Fall Concert Season includes many artists familiar to Levitt-lovers. In addition to Brave Combo, the Quebe Sisters also performed during the Levitt&'s first mini-season in October 2008. The triple-threat, fiddle-playing sisters with killer harmony from Burleson return to the Levitt at 8 p.m. Oct. 5. Additional artists making a return to the Levitt include rock royalty, The Drifters; the king and queen of Americana music, Bruce Robison and Kelly Willis; concert pianist and composer, Danny Wright; Texas music maverick, Dale Watson; and Texas treasure, Carolyn Wonderland; as well as The Nightowls, The Unlikely Candidates, The Dirty River Boys, Dawn & Hawkes, and Grady Spencer & The Work.

Blues fans will not want to miss Grammy-winning blues guitar legend, Jimmie Vaughan, who will perform a free concert at 8 p.m. Sept. 20 for Arlington&'s annual Arlington Gives! rally for North Texas Giving Day, presented by the Arlington Tomorrow Foundation and the Communities Foundation of Texas. It&'s North Texas Giving Day&'s 10th birthday as well, and the Arlington event celebrates a day of giving across the Dallas/Fort Worth Metroplex and surrounding area.

The fall season will include a few new artists as well. Most notably, Sundance Head, 2016 winner of NBC&'s The Voice and the founder of country/soul music. Additional first-timers at the Levitt include The Vandoliers, Ram Herrera & the Outlaw Band, hometown jazz artist Tatiana Mayfield performing with the UTA Jazz Orchestra, and JB & the Moonshine Band. The free concerts end Oct. 7 with the African cirque experience of dance and music, Cirque Zuma Zuma.

The Levitt&'s only paid-ticket concert wraps up the fall concert season when Texas Health/Arlington Memorial Hospital presents Barenaked Ladies Oct. 13, featuring special guest Daphne Willis. Tickets for Barenaked Ladies are on sale now on the Levitt website, levittpavilionarlington.org.
