The 2019 Arlington Animal Services Adoptions & Rescues Calendar Photo Contest ends Friday, August 31, 2018.

Lights, camera, action! Your pet may already be a super star to you - but you can catapult his or her stardom in The American Dream City (and around the world) by entering the 2019 Arlington Animal Services Adoptions & Rescues Calendar Photo Contest!

This year's theme is "A Decade of Adoptions and Rescues" - and the contest is open to any pet owner of any animal rescued or adopted from the Arlington Animal Services Center since January 2009.

It will be interesting to see the photos entered - since all sorts of furry and not so furry critters have been adopted and rescued from this active animal adoption center. Last year's theme was Pets of Arlington's Star Volunteers, and a Lion Head Bunny named Bumble won top honors in the contest, achieving the coveted calendar cover with 420 votes.

Kitten (names can be deceiving), described as "a dramatic dragon diva" by her owner and Animal Services Volunteer, Meghan, was in the top 10, earning 45 votes in the 2018 contest.

A wide assortment of animal types has been adopted and rescued from Animal Services since 2009. So how do you enter a photo(s) of your charming chicken, playful pig, sleek serpent, pretty parrot, dutiful dog, clandestine cat, furry ferret, happy hamster, or other pet?

Enter the 2019 Arlington Animal Services contest here, with your donation of $1 for each image upload. Please provide a short bio about your pet adopted (or rescued) from Arlington Animal Services Center since 2009, sharing a story about it living its best life, working and/or playing. Have your friends and family nominate ($1 per vote) your beloved pet to help it win the chance of being featured in the upcoming 2019 calendar!

Your participation in this annual contest helps support the Arlington Animal Services Center and your love of pets! You may submit as many photos of your pet who was rescued or adopted from our facility as you want! Each entry and/or vote donation will be used to help advance educational programs at the shelter.

Photo entries accepted, and voting begins Monday, July 2, 2018 and the contest closes at 11:59:59 CT on Friday, August 31, 2018. Photos must be taken by pet owners. No professional or stock photography accepted.
