The Dallas Wings will tip off their third season Friday, May 18, when they travel west to face the Phoenix Mercury, as part of the WNBA Tip-Off 2018 presented by Verizon. The game is scheduled for 9 p.m.

Following Friday's game on the road the team will open at home at 2 p.m. Sunday, May 20 when they host the Atlanta Dream at College Park Center in Arlington. The home opener will be part of the WNBA's #WNBAAllDay ESPN programming schedule, which includes a full slate of games on Sunday with all 12 teams in action.

After making an appearance in the 2017 WNBA Playoffs led by three-time all-star Skylar Diggins-Smith and 2017 WNBA Rookie of the Year Allisha Gray, the Wings look to hold a promising 2018 campaign with the inclusion of 6 foot, 8-inch Australian Center Liz Cambage. The 34-game regular season will be played over 94 days this summer, starting on May 18 and ending on August 19. The short schedule is due to the 2018 FIBA World Championships.

The 17-home slate features nine games against Eastern Conference opponents and eight games against the Western Conference, with five games played on Tuesday and Sunday, three on Friday, two on Thursday and one on Saturday and Wednesday each.

The team will host the 2017 WNBA Champion Minnesota Lynx on July 1 for a Sunday afternoon matinee, after hosting a Friday night match-up against Candace Parker and the Los Angeles Sparks in late June. All Sunday afternoon games following the season home opener will begin at 3 p.m., while all games slated for Tuesday through Saturday will begin at 7 p.m.

On the road, the Wings will see two long road stints that will put them against teams from both the Eastern and Western conference, making two visits to Atlanta, Los Angeles, Minnesota, New York, and Seattle. The Wings look to hold three back-to-back games in 2018 due to the short calendar. Two of them will occur on the road with trips to Los Angeles and Las Vegas in June, and an east coast back-to-back matchup against Atlanta and Washington in August. In July, the team will host the Mystics and will then head to the midwest to face the Chicago Sky.

The Wings will be featured this season on ESPN2 on July 19 at home, when they welcome Elena Delle Donne and the Washington Mystics. A complete television schedule will be released at a later date.

The Wings preparation will start in April with training camp, as they look to attempt a trip back to the Playoffs and try for their first WNBA championship since moving to the Dallas-Fort Worth area.

Season tickets for the upcoming season are still available starting at $199. Group fan experiences can also be reserved with a $50 deposit. To purchase tickets, fans can call 817.469.9464 or by visiting dallaswings.com.
