1. RFD-TV's The American & The PBR Iron Cowboy

Bull riding and rodeo fans will once again be treated to the best Western sports stars in the world when the PBR Iron Cowboy and THE AMERICAN return to AT&T Stadium on Saturday and Sunday, Feb. 24-25, 2018. The PBR Iron Cowboy gets underway at 5:50 p.m. on Saturday. Every rider will take on one bull in each round, striving to make the 8-second buzzer. If a rider successfully covers his bull, he will advance to the next round. If he gets bucked off, he is finished. Through a minimum of two, and a maximum of five rounds, these athletes will continue to ride until one cowboy prevails and is declared the Iron Cowboy. THE AMERICAN starts at 2 p.m. on Sunday. 2. B.J. Thomas at Arlington Music Hall

B.J. Thomas has sold more than 70 million records and is ranked in Billboard's Top 50 most played artists over the past 50 years. The five-time Grammy and two-time Dove Award winner is also a proud resident of Arlington: The American Dream City. Thomas will perform at Arlington Music Hall this Friday, February 23 at 7:30 p.m. Tickets are still available online at Arlington Music Hall's website. 3. Live Music at Grease Monkey Burger Shop & Social Club

Head over to Grease Monkey Burger Shop & Social Club in Downtown Arlington for two nights of live music this weekend. On Friday night, Fort Worth Americana artist Kyle Redd will take the stage at 9 p.m. On Saturday night, residents and visitors can check out Metro Rocket Band. The members of the four-piece band have been involved in live radio broadcasts and entertainment television programs both locally and nationally. That show also starts at 9 p.m. Grease Monkey is located at 200 N Mesquite St, Arlington, TX 76011.

4. Dailey & Vincent at Arlington Music Hall

Grand Ole Opry Members, five-time Grammy award winners individually, three-time Grammy award nominees collectively, four-time Dove Award winners, and winners of 35 IBMA Awards altogether, Jamie Dailey and Darrin Vincent will take the Arlington Music Hall stage this Saturday, February 24 at 7:30 p.m. Backed by one of the best bands on tour today, Dailey & Vincent are some of the most reputable and elite entertainers in American music, bluegrass, traditional country and gospel music. 5. Steve Moya & Christie Neale at Arlington Museum of Art

Check out the work by local artists Steve Moya and Christie Neale now through February 25 at Arlington Music Hall in Downtown. Born and raised in Fort Worth, Neale was trained in oil painting, which was her medium of choice for 20 years. She then began experimenting with resin after she was inspired by the courage of wounded veterans. For Steve Moya, painting iconic rockers and capturing the feel of them performing has been the focus of his work over the past 10 years. 6. Arlington Public Library's Black History Month Festival

For the past eight years the Black History Month Festival has highlighted contributions of the African-American community in Arlington and beyond. This year's festival will be at the Southeast Branch Library on Sunday, February 25, from 2 to 6 p.m. In addition to performances from local arts groups, displays, and award-winning readings, join us for an in-depth discussion on William Sydney Pittman, the first practicing Black architect in Texas. 7. Six Flags Over Texas Opening Weekend

Six Flags Over Texas, the Thrill Capital of Texas, announces the start of its 57th season. The park will open this weekend for guests to enjoy their favorite coasters and attractions, while preparations continue for the late spring debut of the ultimate Super-Villain thrill ride-HARLEY QUINN Spinsanity. 8. DreamWorks Shrek Jr. The Musical at Theatre Arlington

Everyone's favorite ogre, Shrek, leads a cast of fairytale misfits on an adventure to rescue a princess and find true acceptance in DreamWorks Shrek Jr. The Musical at Theatre Arlington. The show opens this Friday, February 23, 2018 and runs through March 11.

9. Live Music at Division Brewing

The Tamara King Duo is set to perform this Friday, February 23, 2018 at J.R. Bentley's in Downtown Arlington. The show, hosted by ArlingtoN NightS, starts at 8 p.m. On Saturday, Robin Lore will perform at J.R. Bentley's. That show also begins at 8 p.m. Situated in a historic home, J.R. 12. Burgers & Brews at Ventana Grille

13. 44th Annual UT Arlington Jazz Festival

The 44th Annual UT Arlington Jazz Festival will be held on Friday, February 23, and Saturday February 24, 2018, in the Hereford University Center on the UT Arlington campus. Guest artist Tom Rizzowill be performing during both awards concerts of the festival that will include the UTA Jazz Faculty, UTA Jazz Orchestra and the UTA Jazz Ensemble. 14. Dynamite Rabbit at J. Gilligan's

Make a trip to J. Gilligan's in Downtown Arlington this Friday, February 23, 2018 for live music featuring Dynamite Rabbit from 9 p.m. to around midnight. Based out of the DFW area, the rock n' roll band features Robbie Hague, Russell Taylor, Clint Adam, Peter Hughes and Rick Henson. J. Gilligan's has been a Downtown staple since 1979 and owner Randy Ford has been providing a home for live music and local bands for decades. 15. UTA Basketball Doubleheader at College Park Center

It's a UT Arlington men's and women's basketball doubleheader this Saturday, February 24, 2018 at College Park Center in Downtown! The Lady Mavs get the action started first at 2 p.m. and tip-off for the men's basketball game is at 4:15 p.m. CT. 16. Arlington Museum of Art's 'Eat Your Art Out' Fundraiser

The Arlington Museum of Art's upcoming Eat Your Art Out fundraising event will offer guests a chance to see and taste artistically crafted desserts that are a sweet treat for both the eyes and the palate. Urban Alchemy Coffee + Wine Bar will be hosting Third Shift Moto's Saturday Mornings Bikes & Coffee from 9 a.m. to noon this Saturday, February 24. The vintage motorcycle shop specializes in vintage Japanese Motorcycles. The shop also provides service options for maintenance, troubleshooting, restorations and custom builds.
