1. Star Party in the Park at O.S. Gray

Any astronomy lovers out there? Come and try out a variety of telescopes, look at visible planets and constellations with The Friends of O.S. Gray Natural Area at 2021 W. Abram St. in Arlington this weekend! Guests will also have the option to make s'mores, drink hot chocolate, and roast hot dogs. You're invited to bring your lawn chair and flashlight and wear your warm coat and gloves! This event runs from 6:30-8:30 p.m. on Saturday, February 3 and is free to attend.

2. Donray at Christopher Hightower Gallery

Arlington's first pop-up gallery series will launch in Downtown Arlington this Saturday, February 3 from 6-9 p.m. at 200 E Division St, Arlington, TX 76011. The inaugural pop-up gallery will feature a collection of works by renowned artist and painter, Donray. A pop-up gallery is by definition a venue that is temporary. In the same vein, Christopher Hightower Gallery will "pop up" in different spaces around Downtown Arlington according to the needs of the artist and art represented in each exhibition.

3. Live Music at Grease Monkey Burger Shop & Social Club

Head over to Grease Monkey Burger Shop & Social Club in Downtown Arlington for two nights of live music this weekend. On Friday night, Velvet Love Box will take the stage at 9 p.m. The group features three veteran musicians from the north Texas area: guitarist/vocalist Scot Cloud, percussionist/vocalist Brandon Bumpas, and vocalist/bassist Neil Schnell. On Saturday night, residents and visitors can check out 57 Sauce, a hometown band that started up in 2012. That show also starts at 9 p.m. Grease Monkey is located at 200 N Mesquite St, Arlington, TX 76011.

4. Legal Draft Zen Planting

We all need a little zen in our lives right? So come join Legal Draft Beer Co. for a relaxing and fun evening planting with Plant Nite Dallas-Fort Worth this Friday, February 2 from 6:30-8:30 p.m. Guests will create peaceful zen gardens and sip on local craft beers from Legal Draft. 5. Steve Moya & Christie Neale at Arlington Museum of Art

Check out the work by local artists Steve Moya and Christie Neale now through February 25 at Arlington Music Hall in Downtown. Born and raised in Fort Worth, Neale was trained in oil painting, which was her medium of choice for 20 years. She then began experimenting with resin after she was inspired by the courage of wounded veterans. For Steve Moya, painting iconic rockers and capturing the feel of them performing has been the focus of his work over the past 10 years. 6. Breaking Light Live Recording & 2:14 LIVE at Truth Vinyl

Residents and visitors are invited to hear Breaking Light record a live album for the RPM Challenge this Friday, February 2 in Downtown Arlington at 7 p.m. The live album recording is free to attend. Breaking Light is described as "a totally improvised electric guitar experiment with loop pedals, EBow and multi-stage delays." On Saturday, February 3, 2:14 returns to Truth Vinyl at 6:30 p.m. Brian, Shel, and Motty play covers by bands like Evanescence, Pvris, and MS MR. 7. Sylvia at Theatre Arlington - LAST WEEKEND

Enjoy a night at the theatre this weekend in Downtown Arlington, with the romantic comedy Sylvia. Appropriate for audiences ages 16 and up, the show runs through February 4, 2018 at Theatre Arlington. Tickets are available at www.theatrearlington.org.

8. UTA Maverick Theatre Company presents: Flight 12 Improv

Full of zany moments and lots of fun, Maverick Theatre Company's Flight 12 Improv has a style that promises to be outrageous and never stale. This 12 member troupe features students from UT Arlington and is directed by Associate Professor Joe Chapa. Flight 12 entertains with original sketches, long and short improvisation and audience participation. Performances take place at 8 p.m. this Friday and Saturday, February 2-3, 2018 at the Studio Theatre inside the UTA Fine Arts Building, located at 502 S. Cooper St Arlington, TX 76010. 9. Live Music at J.R. Bentley's

The Jax Brothers are set to perform from 8-11 p.m. this Friday, February 2, 2018 at J.R. Bentley's in Downtown Arlington. On Saturday, February 3, Davis & Rose take the stage at 8 p.m. Situated in a historic home, J.R. Bentley's has the feel of an authentic English pub and features several local and area bands throughout the year. The venue is located at 406 W Abram St, Arlington, TX 76010. 10. Dead Mockingbirds, The Lash Outs & Dead Words at Division Brewing

Come out for craft beer and live music at Division Brewing this Saturday, February 3, 2018 from 7:30 p.m. to midnight. Tickets are $5 and all ages are welcome. The night will feature performances by Dead Mockingbirds, The Lash Outs and Dead Words. Division Brewing is located at 506 E Main St, Arlington, TX 76010. 11. Vicki Lawrence & Mama at Arlington Music Hall

Emmy Award- winning comedienne Vicki Lawrence brings one of the most beloved television personalities to the Arlington Music Hall stage in Downtown this Friday, February 2 at 7:30 p.m. After the "Carol Burnett Show," Vicki went on to star in "Mama's Family," which consistently topped the ratings for its entire six-year run of original shows. The character of Thelma Harper or "Mama" as she is better known has attained almost a cult status among her legions of loyal television viewers. 12. John Conlee at Arlington Music Hall

Recognized across the country as one of the most respected vocalists to emerge during the urban cowboy era, John Conlee takes the Arlington Music Hall stage this Saturday, February 3 at 7:30 p.m. Conlee is also known for his superb taste in material and his distinctively melancholy voice. Residents and visitors can purchase tickets for this show on the Arlington Music Hall website or call the box office at 817-226-4400.

13. Shows at UTA Planetarium

UTA Planetarium continues to offer shows to residents and visitors. This includes Stars of the Pharaohs, a planetarium show that visitors on a journey to ancient Egypt to see how science was used to tell time, make a workable calendar, and align huge buildings.
