New Lane Closures Announced for I-30/SH 360 Interchange Project in Arlington

Interchange Project

New lane closures are planned for the next week as part of the $233 million Interstate 30/SH 360 Interchange Project and the SH 360 Widening Project. New aerial photos of the projects are available on the Keep 30360 Moving website.

New or updated items are indicated in bold.

Weekly Lane Closure Look Ahead

Closures are subject to changes due to weather and schedule. Below are anticipated traffic impacts for the coming weeks.

I-30 Main Lanes

  • I-30 Eastbound Entrance from Copeland Road
    • August 27: A temporary eastbound I-30 entrance ramp will be opened and accessible from Copeland Road between Ballpark Way and SH 360.
  • I-30 Eastbound Entrance from Convention Center Drive/Copeland Road Intersection
    • Permanently: The eastbound I-30 entrance ramp available from the Convention Center Drive/Copeland Road intersection is closed. Traffic will continue to have access to the ramp to northbound Ballpark Way.
  • I-30 Eastbound Entrance from Northbound Ballpark Way
    • Permanently: The eastbound I-30 entrance ramp from northbound Ballpark Way is closed for the construction of a new northbound Ballpark Way connector to eastbound Copeland Road.

I-30 HOV Lanes Between Great Southwest Parkway and Cooper Street

  • Westbound I-30 HOV lane west of SH 161
    • Through fall 2020, the westbound HOV lane west of SH 161 will be closed. TEXpress lane traffic will be directed into the I-30 westbound general main lanes west of SH 161.
  • Eastbound I-30 HOV lane between Center Street and Duncan Perry Road
    • Through fall 2020, the eastbound HOV lane access near Center St and lane through Tarrant County will be closed. TEXpress lane traffic will enter at SH 161.

SH 360 Main Lanes and Ramps

  • SH 360 Northbound Main Lanes between Ave J and Trinity River
    • Overnight, August 27, 7 p.m. - 6 a.m.: The right, outside lane of northbound SH 360 between Avenue J and the Trinity River will be closed for pavement repair.
      • Nightly, August 28 and 29, 7 p.m.- 6 a.m.: Northbound SH 360 will be reduced to one lane between Avenue J and the Trinity River for pavement repair.
  • SH 360 Northbound Main Lanes between Mitchell Street and Division Street
    • Nightly, August 27-29 & September 4-8, 7 p.m.- 6 a.m.: Various lanes of northbound SH 360 between Michell Street and Division Street will be closed for work zone striping work.
  • SH 360 Southbound Main Lanes between the south end of the Trinity River Bridge and Ave J.
    • Nightly, August 26-29, 7 p.m.- 6 a.m.: The right, outside lane of southbound SH 360 between the Trinity River Bridge and Avenue J will be closed for concrete diamond grinding.
    • SH 360 Southbound Main Lanes between Division Street and Mitchell Street
      • Nightly, August 27-29 Sep 4-8, 7 p.m.- 6 a.m.: Various lanes of southbound SH 360 between Michell Street and Division Street will be closed for work zone striping work.

    SH 360 Frontage Road

    • SH 360 Southbound Frontage Road between Six Flags Drive and Randol Mill Road
      • Continuously, through September 8: The right, outside lane of the SH 360 southbound frontage road between Six Flags Drive and Randol Mill Road will be closed for pavement construction.

    Local Streets

    • Ballpark Way
      • Through Summer 2018: The right, outside lane of northbound Ballpark Way between I-30 and Brinker Court will be closed for installation of new westbound I-30 frontage road.
        • Anticipated August 27, the northbound Ballpark Way ramp to eastbound I-30 will be closed for reconstruction through winter 2019. Northbound Ballpark Way traffic may exit to Copeland Road, turn right and enter on a temporary eastbound I-30 entrance ramp.
    • Lamar Blvd/Ave H
      • Through Summer 2018, westbound and eastbound Lamar Blvd/Ave H are reduced to one lane approaching SH 360 for construction of new southbound frontage road intersection.
    • Ave F
      • Through Fall 2018, eastbound and westbound Ave F traffic will be reduced to one lane each direction and shifted to the south side of Ave F for reconstruction of Ave F.
    • Ave G
      • Through Fall 2018, the 800 block of Ave G is limited to westbound traffic movement.
    • Copeland Road
      • Continuously, eastbound Copeland Road between Ballpark Way and Six Flags Drive is reduced to one lane for general construction.
        • Temporary: Copeland Rd access to Six Flags Drive will be closed through winter 2019 for reconstruction of bridges over Johnson Creek and new pavement to Six Flags Drive. Traffic will be forced onto the new temporary eastbound I-30 entrance ramp between Johnson Creek and SH 360.
      • PERMANENT: Copeland Road between Six Flags Drive and the SH 360 southbound frontage road is closed.
      • PERMANENT: Westbound Copeland Road from Six Flags to just east of Ballpark Way is permanently closed. Only eastbound Copeland Road traffic is allowed between Ballpark Way and Six Flags Drive.
    • Convention Center Drive/Copeland Road Intersection
      • Permanently: the I-30 eastbound entrance ramp available from this intersection is removed permanently from service. Access to northbound Ballpark Way will be maintained.
