Shop for handcrafted items, enjoy live music and experience a bit of Arlington's early history at the 13th annual Front Street Festival at Knapp Heritage Park next weekend.
The annual festival, hosted by the Arlington Historical Society, aims to give residents a glimpse into pioneer life on the Texas Plains. Visitors can watch historical re-enactments and artisan demonstrations and tour each of the buildings at the downtown park, which contains three of Arlington's oldest structures.
The festival is set for 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. Saturday, September 30 at 201 W. Front Street, north of City Hall. The entry fee is $3 per person over 12 years of age or $10 for a family of 4.
Live entertainment includes performances by Bitter Boar and AdamMarie. In addition music, food and children's activities, the festival also features artisans selling goods such hand-poured candles, handmade jewelry, and wooden and ceramic original creations.
Proceeds benefit the preservation of the Knapp Heritage Park and other historical Arlington landmark buildings.
