Win Best in Nation

The City of Arlington's Office of Communication was honored to receive six awards from the national organization, City-County Communications: Marketing Association, or 3CMA, for its video programming, marketing, photography and other community outreach efforts.

"It all starts with the response from the Arlington community," said Marketing Communications Manager Jay Warren. "We're grateful for the outstanding engagement we receive from our residents on social media, through our government cable channel and our website. It's definitely an honor to be recognized by other government communication teams across the country."

The Savvy Awards, held in conjunction with 3CMA's Annual Conference, recognize outstanding local government achievements in communications, public-sector marketing and citizen-government relationships. The Savvies salute skilled and effective city, county, agency or district professionals who have creatively planned and carried out successful innovations in communications and marketing. 3CMA accommodates local government organizations of all sizes and budget classes by judging entries in several different population groups.

The City of Arlington Office of Communication brought home:

  • Savvy Award for Video Education/Training: On the Clock
  • Savvy Award for Video One-Time Programming: 2017 Budget Video
  • Silver Circle Award for Video - Regularly Scheduled Programming: Arlington Eats
  • Award of Excellence for Best Use of Social Media: Star of Texas Challenge
  • Award of Excellence for Graphic Design Art: Neighborhood Block Party Trailer
  • Award of Excellence for Graphic Design Marketing Tools: City of Arlington Elevator redesign

Earlier this year, the City of Arlington received nine awards at the annual Texas Association of Municipal Information Officers (TAMIO) conference in Lakeway on June 8, 2017.
