Changes Announced

Exciting new developments in the Entertainment District, including Texas Live!, which broke ground this week, and the new ballpark, set to open in 2020, are already bringing about parking lot changes for the Texas Rangers' 2017 regular season.

Those changes include new cash parking lots, a partnership with ParkHub, and a new pick up and drop off location for Uber passengers.

The Texas Rangers' home opener begins at 6:08 p.m. Monday, April 3, versus the Cleveland Indians at Globe Life Park in Arlington.

Parking

The Rangers have added two new cash parking lots for 2017: the Tacoma Lot R located south of Cowboys Way at the corner of Stadium Drive and Sanford St. and the Yaris Lot S located east of Magic Mile between Road to Six Flags and Arlington Downs. In addition, a new Premium Cash Lot has been added as part of Camry Lot J, which added 300 spaces as part of off-season construction and resurfacing. This lot is just west of Globe Life Park in Arlington and can be accessed off Randol Mill Road.

West Valet has been relocated to the northeast side of Globe Life Park on Road to Six Flags. 2017 parking prices: General Parking can be purchased for $18 online in advance and $20 when entering the lots; Premium Cash Parking can be purchased for $20 online in advance and $25 when entering the lots.

ParkHub Partnership

The Texas Rangers announced that the club has entered into a three-year partnership extending through the 2019 season with ParkHub to improve the parking experience at Globe Life Park in Arlington.

The Dallas-based company is an expert in providing advanced technology designed to reducing traffic congestion and improving the parking experience for fans coming to Globe Life Park.

"We are excited to be working with ParkHub on improving the parking experience for our customers," said Rob Matwick, Rangers Executive Vice President of Business Operations. "It is very important to the Rangers that we are able to minimize the inconvenience to our fans due to construction of the new ballpark and Texas Live! over the next several years. With ParkHub's assistance, we are confident this will be the case."

ParkHub is a parking technology solution provider focused on assisting sports and live entertainment venues in handling large volumes of traffic and getting guests out of line and into their seats faster.

ParkHub is the first and only ProVenue Certified Solution parking platform. This means that fans now have the option to pre-purchase parking through Tickets.com on-line or with their mobile devices. Where Tickets.com's platform is a full service ticketing solution designed to sell tickets, ParkHub validates those tickets sold.

In addition to real-time validation of pre-purchase parking, ParkHub also gives Rangers' fans the option to purchase on-site parking through Prime, their mobile point-of-sale. Fans can simply hand over their credit card or NFC device (Apple/Android Pay) to the parking attendant who will process the payment through the same device that scans their season ticket holders' pass. In less than five seconds a receipt is printed, placed on their dashboards, and fans are on their way.

Uber Pick Up/Drop Off

Uber begins its second year as the Official Rideshare Partner of the Texas Rangers. The new Uber Pick Up and Drop Off area for 2017 is the Camry Lot D, where signage will be posted. New Uber passengers can save up to $15 off their first ride by using the online code RideRangers17.

"We are proud to team up with the Rangers again to make sure fans have a safe, reliable ride to and from the ballpark," said Beth Huddleston, General Manager of Uber's DFW operations. "Our goal is to make it as easy as possible for fans to enjoy game day. With Uber, getting a ride is as simple as tapping a button."
