VOM North

The Arlington Parks and Recreation Department is very excited to announce that the North Texas Sweethearts have been selected as the Volunteers of the Month for March 2017! The North Texas Sweethearts are beginning only their fifth year at the University of North Texas. The group was phenomenal helping with food and beverage service, giveaways, photo areas and guest services.

The Daddy Daughter Dance is a great opportunity for dads to spend time with their daughters; in today's busy world, that opportunity isn't always present. This event helps to build memories of first formal events for the girls; it builds their confidence and truly does build a stronger relationship between dad and daughter. We have had so many couples share their enjoyment for this dance and the uniqueness it provides to their memories.

The department staff as a whole was impressed by the flexibility and willingness to serve by each member of the North Texas Sweethearts. The 16th Annual Daddy Daughter Dance would not have been a success without their help!

An all-female student organization that dedicates their time and effort into promoting Mean Green student spirit. Their secondary focus is to not only develop a sisterhood within the organization but to help unify the clubs and organizations of the University of North Texas by hosting spirit and philanthropy events.

We thank every member who came out to help with the Daddy Daughter Dance and wish all "Sweethearts" the very best this semester!
