High standards and hard work pay off again for Animal Services Manager Chris Huff when the Zeta Phi Beta Sorority, Incorporated - Omicron Beta Zeta Chapter recently recognized her as a 2017 Finer Womanhood Honoree at Rolling Hills Country Club.
Zeta Phi Beta Sorority was founded in 1920 on the principles of Scholarship, Service and Sisterhood with a unique principle of Finer Womanhood with the premise that women are called to a higher purpose. The organization works to showcase the high standards and moral character of its leaders, members and inspirational women in the community.
Chapter leaders recognized Huff on March 25, 2017, for her commitment to serving the community and demonstrating attributes that define a Finer Woman. Thousands of dollars in college scholarships were also awarded to up-and-coming sisters at the event.
"We were blessed by her presence and the words of wisdom and encouragement she shared with the organization, guests and especially the scholar recipients," Chapter President Stephanie Brown said.
Huff's growing list of awards and accomplishments as Animal Services manager is a deserving result of her high energy and passion for helping people and animals through effectual education and services.
"I am humbled and grateful to be honored as a Finer Woman and the Scholastic Luncheon was absolutely first class," said Huff. "It is always a blessing when someone believes you are deserving of an award for something you enjoy and something you feel is a part of your purpose."
