2017 Conference

The City of Arlington was honored to receive nine awards at the annual Texas Association of Municipal Information Officers (TAMIO) conference in Lakeway on June 8, 2017.

This year follows up a strong campaign in 2016, where the Office of Communications took home eight awards at the TAMIO conference in Arlington.

The awards recognize outstanding communication by Texas communities in a variety of categories including website, social media, video production and publications. Judging is conducted by non-TAMIO members with expertise in communications and municipal government.

The City's Star of Texas Art Project Campaign, coverage of WrestleMania 32 at AT&T Stadium and On the Clock andDream Builders segments on MyArlingtonTV were recognized.

Also receiving awards were the City's American Dream City brand chapter videos and the media relations campaign for the new Texas Rangers ballpark.
