Road in November 2017

The Texas Department of Transportation (TxDOT) is seeking environmental clearance for a bridge rehabilitation project along Interstate 20, which would include the demolition and reconstruction of the existing bridge railing at the Rush Creek crossing and the Bowen Road overpass. This project will require nightly closures of Bowen Road under I-20.

Temporary signage will be placed along the roadway to direct traffic through the area. This detour would only be at night between the hours of 9 p.m. to 5 a.m. for approximately four months while the Bowen Road bridges remain under construction. The anticipated construction start date is November 2017.

Should you have any questions or comments regarding the proposed detour, please contact Herman D. Tarin, P.E., TxDOT Central Design, at (817) 370-6599, [email protected], or at 2501 S.W. Loop 820, Fort Worth, Texas 76133.

The environmental review, consultation, and other actions required by applicable Federal environmental laws for this project are being, or have been, carried-out by TxDOT pursuant to 23 U.S.C. 327 and a Memorandum of Understanding dated December 16, 2014, and executed by FHWA and TxDOT.
