Tickets are on sale now for upcoming productions at Theatre Arlington, which is celebrating 45 years of live theater this season.

Theatre Arlington, which is one of the largest community theatres in the country, will open its anniversary season with Bus Stop, an American classic comedy/drama. Other scheduled shows from September through next August include the musicals, Plaid Tidings and Footloose, as well as A.R. Gurney's romantic comedy Sylvia. The downtown theatre also has offerings targeted for youth audiences, including the play Stellaluna and Dreamworks Shrek Jr. the Musical.

'For a theatre to not only 'survive' for 45 years, but to grow and flourish as Theatre Arlington has, is an anomaly, and we are thrilled to be growing and flourishing at a phenomenal pace. This season, you will see big musicals, new comedies, thought-provoking drama and professionally staged all-youth productions,' said Executive Director Valerie Galloway on the Theatre's website.

Theatre Arlington, part of Downtown Arlington's growing cultural arts district, is dedicated to enhancing the quality of life in North Texas and The American Dream City by presenting superior, diverse, artistic experiences through theater performance, production and education.
