Einstein: A Stage Portrait at Theatre Arlington

This one-man play by Willard Simms presents the private, personal, and deeply human side of Albert Einstein, the reluctant celebrity who changed forever the way we look at the universe. Starring Dennis Maher, the show opens this Friday, August 4, 2017 and runs through Sunday, August 20 at Theatre Arlington in Downtown. Tickets are $23 for adults, $21 for seniors and students (with valid ID) and $18.50 for groups of 10 or more people. Thursday performances are at 7:30 p.m., Friday & Saturday performances are at 8 p.m. and Sunday matinees begin at 2 p.m.

Coffee & Crafting at Dottie Lynn Recreation Center - WAITING LIST ONLY

Get crafty with Arlington Parks and Recreation over coffee and breakfast at Dottie Lynn Recreation Center! Each month, staff will teach you how to make adorable crafts to take home and provide the supplies. They will also serve breakfast, coffee, hot chocolate, tea, and more to enjoy while working on your project. Summer Coffee and Crafting is this Saturday, August 5 from 9:15 – 11 AM. $15 per person. Moe Bandy & Norma Jean at Arlington Music Hall

Moe Bandy keeps one of the busiest schedules in show business. Bandy has 10 # 1 Hits, 40 Top Ten Hits, 66 Chart Hits and 5 Gold Albums. In 1960, Norma Jean moved to Nashville and joined the Porter Wagoner television show. The exposure that she received on television across the country and through personal appearances with Wagoner allowed her career to soar. She signed with RCA Records in 1963 and joined Nashville's Grand Ole Opry the same year. The country music duo will be at the Arlington Music Hall this Saturday, August 5, 2017 at 7:30 p.m. CT. Dallas Wings Home Games at College Park Center

The Wings return home this Friday, August 4 and Sunday, August 6 for two home games at The University of Texas at Arlington's College Park Center in Downtown. Tip-off is scheduled for 7 p.m. on Friday versus the Seattle Storm and the game against the Los Angeles Sparks gets underway at 3:30 p.m. on Sunday. The Wings play all home games at College Park Center, a state-of-the-art 7,000-seat arena located at 600 S Center St, Arlington, TX 76019.

Six Flags Hurricane Harbor

From thrilling slides to relaxing pools, Arlington residents and visitors will be happy to hear that Hurricane Harbor is now open all week. The water park in Arlington's Entertainment District will be open Thursday through Sunday, August 3-6, 2017. Hurricane Harbor will be open from 10:30 a.m. to 7 p.m. on Thursday and 10:30 a.m. to 8 p.m. on Friday, Saturday and Sunday. Six Flags Hurricane Harbor features 47 acres of water wonderland to enjoy. Spend the weekend at Six Flags Over Texas with all your friends and family celebrating all things summer. The Joker free-fly coaster is also open at Six Flags. After being lifted straight up a 12-story, 90-degree hill, riders flip head-over-heels up to six times along the weightless journey. Milton H. Greene: Women Exhibit at Arlington Museum of Art - LAST WEEKEND

This summer, the Arlington Museum of Art will continue its tradition of photography exhibits with Milton Greene: Women, which opened on May 13 and will run through this Sunday, August 6. 'Photography has been a huge success at the Arlington Museum of Art,” Hightower said. 'Our two most attended exhibits, Ansel Adams and Vivian Maier, were photography exhibits. I chose Milton Greene's work because he was famous for his work with celebrities in the '50s, '60s and '70s such as Marilyn Monroe, Audrey Hepburn and Frank Sinatra.” The Arlington Museum of Art of located at 201 W.
