Backstage Arlington: Mixing Genres of Music at Sunshine Bar

MyArlingtonTV is taking a trip across The American Dream City to showcase some of the diverse musical acts happening in Arlington's schools, restaurants, churches and neighborhoods.

Hosted by Tika Cook, "Backstage Arlington" highlights some of the different music acts and performing venues that exist in Arlington. The newest episode features Sunshine Bar, one of the oldest establishments in Arlington and a popular hangout for music lovers and bands representing a wide variety of music.

Sunshine Bar is located at 902 W Division St., Arlington, Texas, TX 76012. Event coordinator Matthew Day is known for mixing genres when organizing musical acts, booking hardcore punk bands, indie rock groups and even jazz musicians.

The venue is open from 2 p.m. to 2 a.m. Monday through Saturday and 2 p.m. to midnight on Sundays. For more information, please call (817) 277-6252.
