River Legacy Foundation’s 20th Annual After Dark in the Park Set for Oct. 7-9

Pick out your Halloween costumes and get ready for fun River Legacy Foundation' s 20th annual After Dark in the Park event is set for the second weekend in October.

The annual family friendly fall celebration will be held from 5 p.m. to 9 p.m. October 7 through October 9 at the River Legacy Living Science Center, 703 NW Green Oaks Boulevard in north Arlington.

Activities include bounce houses, temporary tattoos, karaoke, a pumpkin patch, balloon artists and a variety of games and crafts geared for children ages 2 to 10. The Science Center will also host a night hike where participants will learn about nocturnal animals and have fun animal encounters.

Entry is $8 per person for all ages 3 and up. All proceeds benefit the Foundation' s environmental education programs at the park' s Science Center. The cost of admission includes most activities; still some will require extra purchased coupons. Residents are welcome to purchase Family Fun Packs at the River Legacy Science Center by October 6 or online at http://www.riverlegacy.org. A $45 Fun Pack includes 4 admission tickets and $20 of activity and food coupons.

Food trucks from On the Border, Chick-Fil-A and Yummy Pizza will be serving up food while tasty treats like Kona Ice, cotton candy, roasted nuts and kettle corn will also be found.

Parking will be located nearby at 701 NW Green Oaks and visitors will catch a free hayride to the event entrance.
