Free Play Arcade Richardson

Free Play Arcade is expected to open a location in downtown Arlington before the end of the year, the company has announced.

Free Play Arcade, located in Richardson, will open its second arcade, bar and restaurant location in the 8,000-square-foot building at 400 E. South Street near J. Gilligan 's Bar Grill. The South Street location will continue to operate as the upscale event venue known as 'South Street Patio ' until October 15, 2016.

'The moment I saw South Street Patio in Downtown Arlington, ' Corey Hyden, President of Free Play Incorporated, said in a press release. 'I knew it would make the perfect second location for Free Play Arcade. The work that went into converting the building from an old-school tire change shop to a high-end event venue was spectacular and created a space that screamed retro and modern at the same time. I couldn 't rest until we signed a lease. '

Free Play Arlington is expected to open by December 5, 2016. Once renovations are complete, Free Play Arlington will feature more than 90 retro arcade machines and five to 10 pinball machines, according to the company.

Free Play Arlington will charge a $10 cover, plus tax, and all of the retro arcade machines inside will be set to 'free play. '
