Bardin Road Bridge Closure

On Nov. 4, 2016, a trailer transporting propane tanks caught fire and burned underneath the Bardin Road Bridge over State Highway 360 near the city limits of Arlington and Grand Prairie. The bridge was severely damaged by fire, and it remains closed for safety concerns.

The Texas Department of Transportation apologizes for the inconvenience the closure is causing, and they are quickly moving forward with the intent to repair the bridge as soon as possible.

TxDOT engineers are testing the bridge to determine what repairs are appropriate to safely allow traffic back on the bridge. TxDOT should have the results from testing back soon and with it a plan for the bridge's repair. TxDOT will follow up with repair details and a schedule when a course of action is determined.

TxDOT appreciates the patience of motorists as a solution is developed. For additional information, call TxDOT's Public Information Office at (817) 370-6630.
