Winter Wonderland for Holiday in the Park

Six Flags Over Texas, the Thrill Capital of Texas, transforms into the epitome of a holiday extravaganza. On select dates from November 19 through January 2, 2017, favorite attractions such as SantaLand, the Holiday Tree of Trees Light Spectacular, Frosty Snowhill and more await guests during this magical time of year. For over 30 years, Holiday in the Park has spread joy to families from all over the state and surrounding areas.

New this year to Holiday in the Park- Deep in the Heart of Christmas! Guests can enjoy the Boomtown section of the park that has undergone a complete makeover and has been transformed into a Texas-sized winter wonderland. With over 8.5 miles of mini lights; nearly 14,000 square feet of net lights; a giant Texas flag light canopy over 100 feet in length; Texas-sized ornaments; boots; star and a glittering holiday Texas flag, the Deep in the Heart of Christmas section proves that everything truly is bigger in Texas! In addition, this section offers its own Texas holiday soundtrack, pine scents, food, gifts, games and festivities.

Guests can also hop on the SantaLand Express to make their way to SantaLand- a spectacular winter experience that includes:

  • A picture with Rudolph and his eight reindeer pals at the Reindeer Meet & Greet
  • A Personal Visit to Santa's Workshop where guests can meet Santa's Helpers, Mrs. Claus and Santa Claus himself
  • Nightly performances of Reindeer Holi-daze Dance Party where guests can join in on the dancing fun

Another event favorite, the Holiday Tree of Trees Spectacular will continue to impress as it greets guests entering the park. Towering at nearly 60 feet tall, this combination of 70 Christmas trees is trimmed with thousands of lights dancing magically with computerized precision. Guests can also immerse themselves in a snowy adventure by visiting the Frosty Snowhill, a hill made of actual snow.
