Marjorie Shelepet

The Arlington City Manager's Office is excited to announce that Marjorie Shelepet has been selected as the Volunteer of the Month for November 2016! She has been working the Information Desk since December of 2014.

Marjorie greets all that enter City Hall with a smile not once, but twice a week. On Tuesdays and Thursdays she interacts with visitors, answers their questions and provides directions. Her genuine joy of helping others is an invaluable resource.

In addition to sharing her time with the City, she is also the Treasurer at her church. Marjorie enjoys Bible study, reading, gardening and spending time with her friends and family. She has a wonderful husband of 15 years. They have four children and six grandchildren.

When asked what made her choose the Information Desk, she simply said, "It chose me." Marjorie came to City Hall looking for the Planning Department and while talking with the person at the Information Desk, Marjorie was told she would make a great volunteer. Congratulations to Marjorie for being selected as November Volunteer of the Month!
