Arlington Mall

The City of Arlington recently launched a new website titled "Live in Arlington" for new home buyers looking to call The American Dream City their place of residence.

With holiday shopping in full swing, The American Dream City has a multitude of perennial shopping, dining, and family-friendly attractions to enjoy.

Here are five interesting facts about The Parks at Arlington for shoppers as they make their way to the mall this holiday season:

1. The Parks Mall hosts more than 22 million visitors per year, just 8 million less than Disneyland at approximately 30 million.

2. Since opening in 1988, The Parks at Arlington Mall has expanded six times - including small shop & department store expansions.

3. The total square footage of the expansions is almost double the mall's original size.

4. The decorative art featured in Center Court was designed and installed by world-famous artist Joan Brown, who was known for her decorative obelisks. In preparing the design, she researched history of the area and incorporated representative items into the design including the lion's head from Downtown Arlington's original water well.

5. In terms of shopping industry metrics, The Parks Mall at Arlington is one of the top 3 out of 20+ shopping centers in the Dallas-Fort Worth area.

For more information, including holiday hours and operation, please visit The Parks at Arlington website. The mall is located at 3811 South Cooper Street, Arlington, TX 76015.
