Lake Arlington Clean Up

EVENT UPDATE: Due to weather, tomorrow's Lake Arlington Clean Up (Saturday, December 3, 2016) has been cancelled. Please check keeparlingtonbeautiful.com for rescheduled dates and don't forget the Great American Clean Up at the lake in April 2017 (date TBD).

Keep Arlington Beautiful is looking for 40 more volunteers as registration is still underway for the group's December 3, 2016 Clean Up at Lake Arlington.

The goal is to improve the appearance of Lake Arlington and increase public awareness about how litter can affect water quality. Individuals, civic clubs, organizations, and student groups are being encouraged to register and volunteer.

Volunteers will assist on shore and off shore around Lake Arlington. Those that assist offshore will be taken by boat to tackle the heavily litter islands with City staff. All passengers must wear a life vest at all times while in the boat, provided by the City of Arlington.

Please note: Volunteers must be at least seven years old to participate and accompanied with a parent or guardian.

Check in opens at 8:15 a.m. and snacks will be provided. To register a group or individual, please contact [email protected].
