"Dream Builders" is a new show on MyArlingtonTV that highlights the ways our community is helping kids dream big, nurture their creativity, polish their skills and develop the tools they need to achieve their American Dream as young adults.

The latest episode features students from Arlington ISD 's Little Elementary, Butler Elementary and Shackelford Junior High participating in Destination Imagination.

The mission of Texas Destination Imagination is to encourage and foster the development of 21st century skills: creativity, problem solving, critical thinking and collaboration; to influence development of a positive self-image; and to prepare the students of Texas to apply problem solving skills to life decisions.

Three teams from Butler Elementary and the team from Shackelford Junior High are traveling to Knoxville, Tennessee for the Destination Imagination Global Finals on May 25, 2016. These teams qualified at the state contest in April and will join 8,000 students from more than 20 countries competing in the global competition.

The City 's Office of Communication develops programming for MyArlingtonTV. Viewers can find MyArlingtonTV programs on the following cable systems: Time Warner Channel 16 and AT&T U-Verse channel 99, and streaming capabilities at www.arlington-tx.gov.
