Historical landmarks, including the 1939 Old Post Office on Main Street and the 1928 Thannisch-Vandergriff Building on East Division, are among dozens of sites that reflect the City's heritage. In all, Arlington boasts 39 sites bearing local, state or national historical markers.

"The thing I love most about Arlington history is the wonderful people, places and things that collectively have made our small town a good city," said Geraldine Mills, Arlington Historical Society Director.
