Upstairs Gallery Presents: Spring Gallery Night

About ten years ago Vern Johnson began painting full time. For every show, he found new ways to depict the beauty of the natural world: prairie landscapes rendered as horizontal bands of colors; forests and trees in impressionist, cubist, and expressionist styles; gestural abstractions; and before his untimely demise in November, watercolor landscapes on canvas. Join Arlington Proud and the Upstairs Gallery in celebrating this artist's achievement. The Spring Gallery Night show takes place this Saturday, March 17 from noon to 9 p.m. and will also feature new works by our gallery artists.
